Each subbase is its leader plus everyone under them. It is paid its own DD % on its whole subbase from the same payscale, and that payout comes out of your base DD. Use + on an SM row to put someone under that SM.

Payscale: 4,400 units = 1.0%, rising to 24.0% at 1,330,802 units (2027 E1 table). Team DD: 15% base, 16 to 20% at 6,000 to 10,000 team units. Levels (base units): OFL 13,000, ASL 25,000, FSL 45,000, DSL 75,000. The SL team bonus is paid only up to the next level's units (OFL up to 25,000, ASL up to 45,000, FSL up to 75,000). SL team bonus (OFL/ASL/FSL): 1% at 1,000, 2% at 2,000, 3% at 4,000 personal-team units, paid on base merchandise up to the title's cap.

The big box is your whole base. Every SM's own base sits inside the base above it, all the way down. On the left, the area of every box is its units, the darker boxes are FYs. On the right, width is units and height is DD %, so each box's area is the DD money calculated on that base, the uncovered space is what you keep, and the band on top is your SL or DSL bonus, drawn to the same money scale.
